Michelle James is a dedicated Program Support Specialist with the DC Interagency Council on Homelessness (ICH), where she has served since December 2025. In this role, she provides vital operational, administrative, and programmatic support that strengthens coordination across initiatives and helps advance the agency’s mission.
Prior to joining DC ICH, Michelle spent two years as an Information Specialist with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Office. There, she managed information requests, supported compliance processes, and ensured the accurate and timely delivery of public records—contributing to increased transparency and improved internal workflows.
Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, which has provided her with a strong foundation in organizational management, process improvement, and strategic support. Across her career, she has become known for her attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to public service.
