Secretary Announces Award of Grants to Promote District of Columbia Self-determination, Voting Rights or Statehood

(Washington, D.C.) Today, the Office of the Secretary of the District of Columbia announced that two (2) grants have been awarded in response to the Request for Applications for a Grant to Promote District of Columbia Self-Determination, Voting Rights and Statehood.

  • Stand Up! for Democracy in DC has been awarded a grant for $36,900.
  • Vision House has been awarded a grant for $28,200.

How do we address the issue?

The ICH has adopted a strategic plan, Homeward DC (2015 - 2020), which lays out a bold vision: Together, we will end long-term homelessness in the District of Columbia.  By 2020, homelessness in the District will be a rare, brief, and non-recurring experience.
